I really wanted to move to Lopez full-time but had no luck finding a job. So one day while visiting the Farmers Market, I shared that with Virginia. She quietly asked, what other things do you love to do. So I replied, well I like to bake things for people but have no professional training at all. She had such a positive attitude encouraging me. She had such a special way that made me feel that “I could do it. So I went back to Seattle, did some research and discovered I could get a commercial license for my in-law kitchen in my basement. I continued talking with Virginia who encouraged me to just give it a try. Virginia was always so upbeat and positive, that I did just that — I created the Dessert Pedaler Bakery. I will always appreciate Virginia for her huge heart, incredible patience, calm demeanor, remarkable communication skills and positive spirit which will be with me always and I know shaped many lives!
